A masterpiece by architect Cheikh Ngom. The story of Dakar’s Mosque of the Divinity started years before its completion in 1997.

In the 1970s, a holy man named Mohamed Gorgui Seyni Guèye had a dream about a beautiful mosque by the sea. When you lay eyes on this stunning landmark, you’ll be inclined to believe the story. The mosque is so breathtaking; the idea that it appeared as a message from God in a dream doesn’t seem so implausible.
